Piloto 151 in Old San Juan is our favorite coworking space in Puerto Rico!

Source: Piloto 151

Piloto 151 is one of the first coworking spaces in Puerto Rico. Apart from its Old San Juan branch, there are also newly opened ones in Santurce and Milla de Oro. The Old San Juan office is in a prime location, overlooking Plaza de Armas. That is quite convenient for foreigners, as they would have no trouble going about and finding it. There is also a variety of restaurants, shops, grocery stores, banks, parking spaces, and tourist attractions nearby.

The interior is modern with a white backdrop and allows lots of natural light in, which makes it easier for users to concentrate on their work. The workplace is sectioned with glass walls making it appear visually more spacious and relaxing. The pleasant interior design of this place makes it a perfect spot to meet with new clients and potential partners.

Piloto 151 also has a great community-building scheme. They host over 15 networking events a month, including a “Hack Night” every Wednesday evening. This is a perfect opportunity to share ideas with other programmers while enjoying some free beer and pizza.

Caribe Co:Work is the coworking place that impressed us the least in Puerto Rico

Source: Caribe Cowork

Caribe Co:Work is located at the very heart of San Juan. Its location next to the Metropolitan University and the building of the Social Security Administration makes it exceptionally convenient and easy to find, both for foreigners and locals. Another great thing about its whereabouts is that there is ample parking, including electric vehicle charging stations.

This coworking space has several meeting rooms, a lounge area, a kitchen, a snack bar, and ergonomic chairs. The conference room can fit over 14 people, has a 65 inch flat-screen TV, and two whiteboards. They also offer free coffee, stable internet, and unlimited use of printers. For some time off work, the visitors can relax with table football and table tennis.

What put us off this place is the unavailability of information about it. Although they claim to have affordable prices, there are none listed on their website or Facebook page. In fact, both of them are quite underdeveloped and offer little user value. They don’t even mention the working hours of the place. The photos on their Facebook page are rather dull and drab, showing an unstimulating, gray workspace. Unless you have some inside knowledge on this mysterious coworking spot that would tempt you to give it a go, we recommend opting for a more dedicated and reliable place.

The Landmark is the ultimate eye candy of all coworking spaces in Puerto Rico!

Source: The Landmark

The Landmark takes the win when it comes to aesthetics! If you thrive in a curated and fully-furnished environment, this place is made for you. Located in the vibrant neighborhood of Miramar, this charming coworking space has a classy interior that is so cozy and hospitable that you’ll instantly feel at home. Its visual appeal lies in the clever use of colors, materials, and textures that are bound to lift your spirit and get your creative juices flowing.

The Landmark’s appeal doesn’t stop there. They offer ample amenities for their members — indoor and outdoor spaces, a conference room that hosts 4–10 people, a kitchen with free coffee, tea, and snacks, print stations with free office supplies, and private phone booths.

Another important thing to mention is that they have an electric generator and a backup internet connection, which is great in case there is an outage. Apart from the standard coworking membership options, they offer Cloud Membership. This includes a premium business address and allows Landmark to become your personal business hub and handle your email, delivered packages, and other correspondence. That is particularly convenient if you are a foreigner dealing with local clients.

Although English is one of the official languages in Puerto Rico, it is spoken only by roughly 10% of the population. Spanish remains the primary language for business, education, and private matters.

co.co.haus is another amazing place to cowork from when in Puerto Rico!

Source: co.co.haus

Co.co.haus is possibly the favorite coworking space for the local population. Due to its proximity to the airport, which is only minutes away, it is also popular among out of towners. In the vicinity, there are also numerous local food and coffee places, most notably Lote23, the famous food truck park in San Juan that is only a block away.

This coworking place totally captured the hearts of the people of San Juan, Puerto Rico, after hurricane Maria hit the island. Only two days after the storm, co.co.haus was up and running owing to its backup generator. It proved invaluable not just as the only place with an internet connection that people could work from but also as a spot for relief efforts. This coworking space was free for several weeks after the hurricane — talk about a way to reach out to the community!

Besides all that, a number of perks come with becoming a member — stable Wi-Fi, comfortable furniture, networking events, electronic check-in, and welcoming staff. There is also on-site underground parking that is available at a reduced price for co.co.haus members.
