There is public transport in Guadeloupe in the form of buses, however, they are quite unreliable, unpredictable, and not so safe. The main international airport, Pointe-à-Pitre International Airport, is located in this city. Pointe-à-Pitre consists of 7 communes: Les Abymes, Baie-Mahault, Petit-Bourg, Le Gosier, Pointe-à-Pitre, Lamentin, and Goyave.
