Exchange your currency
Make sure to have some New Taiwan Dollar in your pocket in order to be able to buy things since most places accept cash only. Only banks can exchange your money. Banks in Taipei typically work until 4 PM and are closed on weekends, so that’s good to keep in mind.
Taipei has one of the best transportation systems in the world. There are two airports: Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and Taipei Songshan Airport. The best way to get around the city is by metro and train.
